Description

We created the “POINT BRUSH” because of the irritating glue bond failure which occurs on points and broadheads. With this inexpensive brush you can score the insides of the 5-degree tapers on your points in seconds, helping you acquire a superior bond. The “POINT BRUSH” is used in a drill motor and will quickly score the insides of the points. The points will heat up quickly so use a pair of pliers to hold them. After you get your point brush try this test; clean your point with the Point Brush and apply it to a freshly tapered shaft with no glue and feel the force needed to pull the point loose from the shaft. It’s amazing how the micro wood fibers grab onto the “scores” created by the Point Brush. You can see this in real time on the YouTube clip located at the bottom of the “Perfect Taper” page.

While holding onto the point with a pair of pliers, run the brush into the point for approximately 3 seconds. Remove the brush while it is still rotating. Remove the residue by tapping the point upside down on a hard surface.

The days of burning the oil and grease out of the points and over-cooking your glue is a thing of the past. Score all of you points one time only, when new. If you break an arrow, there is no need to re-score the point to re-use it. It is not recommended to use the “POINT BRUSH” on old points with glue present. Just heat the point enough to remove it from the broken shaft, apply a small amount of fresh glue to your arrow shaft taper and re-apply the point, do this without overheating the glue or point. When it wears out throw it in the recycle bin and get a new one. When you use this method, you cannot get a better bond than scoring the insides of your points with the “POINT BRUSH”.
